Ingredients

8 oz. Swiss, Monterey Jack (w or w/o jalapeno peppers), or cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 cup butter (no substitutes)
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, crushed
1/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup crisp rice cereal

Directions:

Let cheese and butter stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Heat oven to 375.

Beat cheese and butter together in a large mixing bowl till combined. Add Italian seasoning and lemon-pepper seasoning. Knead in flour. Stir in cereal till blended well.

Shape dough into 3/4-inch diameter balls. Place on sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten each ball with a fork dipped in water till 1/4-inch thick. Bake 11 to 12 minutes or till lightly golden. Serve warm.
